Terms of Service
The short version. ParkingNova helps you find and compare parking. We don't sell it. Every booking happens on the operator's own site under their terms, and the price they charge is the price that counts. Ours is a guide, gathered from public data and provider feeds.
1.Agreement
These terms govern your use of ParkingNova. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
2.What the service is
ParkingNova is a discovery and referral service. We gather parking information from municipal open data and from private operators, show it in one place, and link you to the operator to book.
We want to be unambiguous about what we are not:
We do not own, operate, manage or control any parking facility. We do not sell parking, take reservations, or act as agent for any operator. We do not process payments and never handle your card details. We cannot guarantee a space will be available when you arrive.
Any contract for parking is between you and the operator. Their terms, cancellation policy and refund rules govern it, not these.
3.Prices and availability
Prices shown are indicative. They come from the operators themselves or from public data, and can be out of date, incomplete or wrong. The price and terms shown by the operator at the point of payment are the ones that apply.
Two things are worth stating specifically, because we know about them:
Municipal rates carry the date they were published. Municipal prices come from the Toronto Parking Authority's own published rates, and every city carpark result shows the date of the version we hold. Rates change, and there may be a gap between a change and our next update, so treat the date as part of the price. Where we have confirmed a rate ourselves, we say so instead.
Sample data. Where we do not yet have live access to a provider, results may come from a captured sample rather than a live quote. We label this on the page whenever it applies.
Walking distances and times are estimates calculated from coordinates. They do not account for actual routes, construction, accessibility or how long a garage takes to exit.
4.How we are paid
We earn advertising revenue, and we may earn a commission when you click through to certain operators and complete a booking. That commission is paid by the operator and costs you nothing. You pay the same price you would going direct.
Commission does not buy position. Results are ranked by price, distance and the filters you choose, on the same basis for every provider.
5.Using the site
Use ParkingNova for finding parking. Do not scrape, resell or systematically extract our content; do not attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service; do not use it to break the law.
6.Third-party content and links
Operator names are used to identify whose parking is being shown. We claim no affiliation, partnership or endorsement, and we do not act on any operator's behalf.
Municipal carpark rates and locations come from the Toronto Parking Authority. Capacity and accessibility data are provided by the City of Toronto Open Data Portal. Map data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors. Links to other sites are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
7.Our content
The ParkingNova name, design and original content are ours. Underlying data remains subject to the licences of its sources.
8.No warranty
The service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any price, distance, opening hour, capacity or amenity shown is accurate, complete or current.
Verify anything that matters before you rely on it, particularly accessibility, vehicle height limits and overnight restrictions.
9.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, ParkingNova is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from parking charges, fines, towing, damage to or theft from a vehicle, unavailable spaces, or anything an operator does or fails to do.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under applicable consumer protection legislation.
10.Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current revision, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
11.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
